Founded in 1970, the Point Clear Polo Club is one of the South’s enduring polo traditions, located in the heart of Point Clear, Alabama. With over five decades of history, our club is a place where the passion for polo thrives, welcoming seasoned players, beginners, and spectators alike.
At the heart of that tradition is Sunday Polo, a cherished ritual that has been part of Point Clear since the very beginning. Every Sunday during the season, families, friends, and polo enthusiasts gather on the sidelines to enjoy thrilling matches, tailgating picnics, and Southern hospitality. It’s more than a sporting event, it’s a community celebration where the elegance of polo meets the laid-back charm of the Gulf Coast. Generations have grown up spending their Sundays here, watching the ponies thunder down the field, cheering for their favorite teams, and creating memories that last a lifetime.
We host matches twice a week throughout the season, including our iconic Sunday Polo afternoons, offer a year-round Polo School for all ages, and hold a variety of social and charitable events that bring together our community. Rooted in sportsmanship, horsemanship, and heritage, we are proud to share the excitement and elegance of polo with new generations.

Since 1970, the Point Clear Polo Club has been dedicated to preserving the tradition and spirit of polo in Point Clear, Alabama. Our mission is to foster a welcoming, inclusive environment where players of all ages and skill levels can experience the thrill of the game, the bond between horse and rider, and the camaraderie of the polo community. Through our regular matches, year-round events, charitable partnerships, and our all-ages Polo School, we are committed to growing the sport and sharing its timeless values of sportsmanship, discipline, and passion.
